Annual Community Health Fair & Cookout
Union Grove Church of Christ, Lisbon Street Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton Chapel AME Zion, Sampson County Health Department and NC Division of Public Health Women’s Health Branch are sponsoring a FREE Annual Health Fair and Cookout for the Community.
Theme: From Infancy to Adulthood, It takes a Community
It begins with a community walk at 8 AM at Lisbon Street and Butler Avenue. Put on your walking shoes and get ready to Move More! There will be vendors at all three churches with information and free screenings for all (infants to adults). A free cookout will be provided at noon for all who receive a token from all three churches (there are different vendors/screenings at each church and the sponsors want people to take advantage of it all).
Games and Activities begin at 10:00 AM
Tug-of-war, jump rope, hula hoop, horseshoe, parachute, pizza toss, sack race, volleyball, giant soccer ball & egg relay, inflatable obstacle course, castle bouncer, and more!
Community Health Fair begins at 10:00 AM
FREE blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose screenings, vision and foot pressure checks, car seat checks, fire truck tour, health information, and lots more!
Come out for a free and great community event. Bring young, old and in between to take advantage of the information, screenings and fun!
